Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell was a television personality, a ex-chef at the Institute of Culinary Education and previously taught cooking. Anne Burrell. Burrell hosts of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on Food Network. Food Network, as well as co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef, with her trademark hairstyle and her pumped up personality, provides easy techniques anybody can learn. Chef Burrell studied and worked in some of the most prestigious New York restaurants. He was also a part of Iron Chef America and the culinary landscape of Italy. Early on, while growing up in the upstate area of New York, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step following her graduation with an Associate of Arts degree in English and Communication in the fall of 2004 from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America is where I spent the most fun time of my life. I couldn't be more educated or accomplished in my studies. After graduating, chef Burrell resided in Italy for a year, taking classes at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. She also worked in La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin star restaurant) in Tuscany. When she was in Italy the chef gained an appreciation and knowledge of Italian culinary traditions. It had a significant effect on the way she thinks about food. Burrell was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to brighten the lives of children who face difficulties. She is also an Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity ambassador which promotes awareness of juvenile diabetes. She travels frequently around the country in her role as a mentor as well as a guest speaker where she discusses her work and passion for cooking. Anne said she felt lucky that I could be able to share her passion for cooking with the people around her.
