  Kerstin Aita Marianne (Swedish pronunciation (listen) 29/09/1931 - 11/01/2015) was a Swedish actress, well-known for her beauty and stunning figure. The role she played as Sylvia in Federico Fellini's movie La Dolce Vita (1960) was a hit and made her famous. Ekberg was born in Sweden on the 29th September 1931. She was the sixth child of eight. Anita was a model for fashion throughout her teenage years. Ekberg was a participant in the Miss Malmo competition in 1950 following the advice of her mother. It resulted in her winning the Miss Sweden contest.
