She was born on 1 st of March 1981 in Moscow to the parents of director of the Fur Company Gregory T. and a Russian economist Tatyana Dmitrievna Semenovich. In childhood she spent six months before being diagnosed with arthritis rheumatoid. He became famous for his skating career alongside Denis Samokhin, a compatriot. Together, they participated in two Junior World Championships and placed 7th both in 1993 and 1994. She worked briefly with Maxim Kachanov. Later, the pair finished fifth in the Goodwill Games. This partnership also proved to be productive, and the two were awarded the Finlandia Trophy on two occasions and competed at the Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Together they achieved greater things however the highlight of their partnership was when they were ranked 15th at the 1998 World Championships.
