Rose McGowan

 

Rosa Arianna "Rose") McGowan was born on the 5th of September 7th, 1973. She is an American actress. McGowan made her debut film debut in 1992 in Encino Man (1992), and was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award nomination in 1995 for her role in the dark comedy The Doom Generation (1995). Her breakthrough role was in the horror film Scream in 1996. Her next film was the film Jawbreaker (1999) as well as Devil in the Flesh (2000). McGowan is most famous for her character in Charmed which was a supernatural drama on WB from 2001 until the year 2006. She was then cast in Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino's double-feature film Grindhouse (2007) for which she was nominated to win the Saturn Award for Best Actress and the Scream Award for Best Scream Queen. McGowan was in the action thriller series Chosen (2014) and released her debut studio album, Planet 9, in 2018. The album was followed by a revamp in 2020. In 2017 Time acknowledged McGowan as one of the Silence Breakers, the magazine's Person of the Year, because she spoke out about sexual assault and harassment, specifically in regard to the Harvey Weinstein sexual abuse cases and the Me Too movement. McGowan has published a memoir, Brave, and starred in the documentary series Citizen Rose, which consists of four parts. Citizen Rose, both in the year 2018.
