Paula Faris
Paula Faris is an American journalist
from the United States. She was previously a TV correspondent for ABC News. She
is well-known for her stint as cohost of Good Morning America Weekend,
2014-2018, as well as host of The View, 2015-2018. Before this, she co-anchored
World News Now and America This Morning. After graduating, she worked in
several communications-related jobs including an operations position at
Mills/James Productions in Columbus, Ohio. Due to the limited opportunities on
TV the company employed her in radio sales. After a few years of working as a
production assistant at WKEF/WRGT, she was eventually allowed to anchor and
report on occasion. She was the anchor for weekends at WCPO TV in Cincinnati as
well as the weekday anchor at WCPO TV in Cincinnati between 2002 and 2005. She
was a sports reporter for the NBC's Chicago affiliate WMAQ-TV from November
2005 until December 2011, after her contract had expired. In December 2011, she
was appointed by ABC News the division for news of ABC. The 2nd of January,
2012, she debuted on the ABC network's World News Now and America This Morning.
She also appeared on Good Morning America's fill in program, Good Morning
America, from January 2, 2012. She was later promoted as an New York-based
reporter on all ABC News programs. The program was not able for her to get to
the last episode of World News Now or America This Morning. It was on January
22nd the 22nd of January 2013. She made her debut on Good Morning America
Weekend as co-anchor, the 9th of August, 2014. This was after Bianna Golodryga
changed her channel to Yahoo! News. On August 25, 2015 ABC announced that she
would join The View as a co-host for season 19. Her contract was renewed by ABC
to run the 20th season on the 3rd of August. Season 21 was also the first
season she was renewed as cohost. During the series' 22nd and 21st seasons she
mostly appeared on the program's Friday episodes.
