Milena Govich
Milena Govich is a director actress,
musician, and actor who has directed a number of episodes of TV which include
The Equalizer (2021), Chicago Med (2015), FBI: Most Wanted (2020), Chicago Fire
(2012) and Chicago Fire (2012), among others. Milena was the Co-EP/Producing
director on Dick Wolf's CBS show FBI (2018) and is currently attached for two
pilots. Milena was selected as one of the eight directors in AFI's prestigious
Directing Workshop for Women. Unspeakable was her TV show as well as a short
film. The show starred Jeff Kober and Laura Vandervoort, it won Best Episodic
at the Seattle International Film Festival as and Best Pilot at SoHo
International Film Festival. Her short film Temporary (2017) has been screened
across the nation, winning Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival, Best
Dark Comedy at Atlanta ShortsFest and the Director's Choice Award at Sedona
International Film Festival. Milena has appeared in more than 100 television
series. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then
as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis
Leary/FX). Conviction (2006) was her debut on CBS. Then she became the first
and only female detective in Law & Order (1990). K-Ville (2007) (Fox);
The Defenders (2010)(CBS); Make It or Break It (2009) [ABC Family]; and Lori
Stevens (MTV Drama Finding Carter (2014). Milena is also a part of several
movies, including Sordid Things (2009); A Novel Romance (2011) with Steve
Guttenberg as the lead. Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) as well as
#Lucky Number (2015), starring alongside Method Man; and the features Closure
(2018), Be the Light (2020), and The Cleaner (2021). Born in Norman, Oklahoma,
Milena was valedictorian in her high school before completing two majors in
vocal performance and pre-med with minors in violin and dance at the University
of Central Oklahoma, and also being valedictorian of her graduation. In the
following years, Milena utilised her classical ballet skills to appear in a
show on Broadway in the show starring Rob Marshall and Sam Mendes
"Cabaret" at Studio 54.
