Maureen O'Hara Biography

Maureen O'Hara is a famous American actress and singer and songwriter, both of Irish descent. The fiery, passionate role she played in a variety of American films is what brought attention to the beautiful green eyed beauty. Her gorgeous appearance and natural beauty were well-received. She was referred to in Hollywood as the "Queen of Technicolor". Her screen appearances were a reflection of her strong, brave spirit. She fought for respect and survival within the male-dominated culture. She described herself as "the tough Irish woman", and she would not give up her respect for others in order to get the roles she was entitled to by merit. She was a vocal advocate for women actors in television and film, and gained many followers because of it. Her autobiography, "Tis Herself", was published in 2004. It is an honest and honest description of her life, including the struggles she faced as she climbed the ladder to success. She was an adventurous lady who was not frightened of performing her own stunts. Through the years she appeared in more than 60 films and gained a lot of popularity throughout the world. In 1968, she remarried with Charles F. Blair Jr. who was a former pilot brigadier and chief who was a pioneer in transatlantic aviation. O'Hara went on to retire a few years after their marriage. But her joy was fleeting because Blair died in a tragic plane crash in the year 1978. The same year, she was diagnosed with suffering from uterine cancer and required undergo surgery immediately. She was capable of recovering. Her health deteriorated over the years and she was later diagnosed with heart attacks that caused six as well as short-term memory loss, as well as diabetes mellitus type 2. O'Hara, 95 years old, passed peacefully in Boise (Idaho) on the 24th of October , 2015.
