Kari Matchett Biography

Kari Matchett is an actor from Canada. She is famous for her role as Kari in movies such as "Apartment Hunting", "Men with Brooms", and "The Tree of Life." Born and raised in Spalding, Saskatchewan, she later relocated to Alberta, Canada, from where she attended high school. In her teens she began to become attracted to acting. To receive further training in acting, she enrolled at the 'National Theatre School, located in Montreal and then went to the  Moscow Theatre School.' In 1996 she made her TV debut as a supporting character in the Canadian series called 'The Rez. In the year 1996, she played an actor in the series from Canada called 'The Rez.' She also made her debut in film in the late 1990s in the form of a film called 'Papertrail' and later acted in films such as 'Men with Brooms' and 'Cypher.' In shows such as "A Nero Wolfe Mystery" and "Blue Murder," she also performed supporting roles. She was still appearing in films through the 2000s. However, her film appearances were smaller than her television ones. In 1998, she was also cast as the main role of Colleen Blessed in the Canadian drama series Power Play. The show ran for two seasons and 26 episodes and garnered the highest praise from critics and commercials. In recognition of her role in the show she was nominated for a Gemini Award. She gave birth to an infant son, Jude Lyon Matchett, in June of 2013. She didn't reveal the name of the father of her son though. According to some reports, the father of her son is her former boyfriend. Kari Matchett met T.W. Peacocke met Kari Matchett around the mid-1990s. They began dating and were married in 1998. But the wedding was a disaster and the couple split up in 2006.
