2 Chainz Biography

Tauheed Epps also goes by the name 2 Chainz. He is an American rapper. Georgia born, he formed the hip hop duo Playaz Circle together with a high school friend. Their first album, titled Supply and Demand' was a moderate success. Epps released the album 'Based On a T.R.U. Story', his debut studio album. It was a huge success and debuted at number 1 on the US Billboard 200. Within the first week of release, it sold 147,000 copies. After the album's release, he has not looked back and has become one the best hip-hop artists in the US. He has been nominated for six Grammy Awards so far. One of them were awarded to him for his song "No Problem". The singer caused controversy in 2013 when he was arrested on board in a departing flight at the Los Angeles International Airport as his luggage contained marijuana and promethazine. His brushes with the law didn't affect his popularity. The fourth album, and the most recent one entitled "Pretty Girls Like Trap Music", came out in June of 2017. Based on a T.R.U. Story, 2 Chainz’s first studio album, could be described as his debut album and also his most popular. The album reached the top spot on the US Billboard 200. It also sold 147,000 albums within a single week. It eventually sold 623,000 copies during the year. The album featured smash singles like 'No Lie" and 'Birthday Song. I'm Different was nominated in the 55th Grammy Awards for Best Rap Album. The reviews were mixed. 2 Chainz got married to Kesha Ward on March 31, 2013. The couple has three children: Heaven and Harmony. He is well-known for his bad habits and his thriving career. He was arrested several times for possession of drugs.
